PCIT-10, Delhi organized a Capacity Building Workshop on Reassessment Proceedings on 18 June 2026 at the Civic Centre, Delhi, under the guidance of Smt. Deepali Chandra, CCIT-1, Delhi. The programme brought together Range Heads and Assessing Officers to strengthen technical proficiency and promote excellence in assessment practices. The workshop featured expert-led deliberations on reassessment provisions under Sections 147–153 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, with particular emphasis on drafting legally sustainable orders under Section 148A(3), procedural safeguards, compulsory scrutiny selection, and emerging issues in reopening of assessments. Practical insights and best practices were shared to enhance consistency, accuracy, and adherence to statutory requirements. Addressing the participants, Shri Deepak Tiwari, Pr. CIT-10, Delhi, underscored the importance of quality-driven assessments, procedural integrity, and informed decision-making. Marked by active participation and constructive discussions, the workshop forms part of PCIT-10’s ongoing commitment to capacity building, professional excellence, and strengthening taxpayer-centric tax administration.
